Fixing Map Display or Download issues

Follow this process:

Go to your APPs in your settings – find the Tracks4Africa App and CLEAR THE DATA, and then RE-INSTALL the app.

Example: Steps in Android:

  • Settings / Apps / Tracks4Africa App.
  • Tap on “Storage”
  • Tap on “Clear Data”
  • Then go back to Settings / Apps / Tracks4Africa App
  • Tap on “Uninstall”
  • Then go to the Playstore
  • Search for the NEW Tracks4Africa App
  • Install it again (ie. once you login on the app it will recognise any prior purchases and you will be able to re-download your Map and Pois)

On iPhone/iPad there isn’t a separate “Clear Data” button like Android. The equivalent is to delete the app completely and then reinstall it.

Example: Steps in iOS:

  • Go to Settings / General / iPhone Storage (or iPad Storage).
  • Scroll down and tap Tracks4Africa.
  • Tap Delete App.
  • Confirm Delete App.
Do not choose “Offload App”, as this keeps the app’s documents and data.
  • Open the App Store.
  • Search for the NEW Tracks4Africa App.
  • Download and install it again.
  • Open the app and log in with your Tracks4Africa account.
  • Once logged in, the app should recognise your previous purchases/subscription, and you can re-download your Maps and POIs.
